Hi there!

My name is Karthik (cloudy’s my nick) and i live in the quiet town of Fleet in the United Kingdom. I am an Electronics Telecommunication Engineer by profession with a strong inclination towards portable devices design.

Some of my work in the past include designing a satellite phone, various imaging, video and base band platforms, hi-fidelity audio circuits for handsets and designing Mobile LCD displays.

Though I currently work as a Baseband Engineer designing Moblie Phones,  I have particular interest in EMI/EMC and Signal Integrity in High Speed Digital Circuits and spend quite a bit of my time simulating them.( Check the articles link if this of interest to you)

I love writing, playing badminton and spend my spare time reading books, running and writing. I enjoy psycology as much as i enjoy learning about life and its purpose.

And, here’s how it all started

Roger Federer and I share the same birthday but unlike him, I lived all of my early life in a small town called Cuddalore in India. I used to be an athlete and was a 400m hurdler and a triple jumper. I was successful in few district level meets but didn’t get any further than that. I was quite passionate about baseball in school and our team managed to win a few tournaments and trophies.

I remember hating school but eventually i got past it and even managed to score 443rd rank out of 150,000 applicants for my engineering degree. I then moved on to pursue my bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

During that 4 years i had various interests right from cryptography and neural networks to working as a campus placement representative. The four year course was very fruitful – i found my life partner there! I then got placed in a young technology-driven company where my work life started.
